Games End: February with makeup games going into the first week in March

*You must create a log in. If you have a communitypass from prior registrations you may use your old log in to register.

Registration & Payment: Must be completed online.

Registration and payment must be received by the Township prior to practice. Failure to complete either will delay your child from being on a team and practice time.

You must submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate for the current season. If you submitted a copy of your child’s birth certificate in the prior year season you do not need to provide a birth certificate.

The basketball program is for children in grades 3 through 8 who live in Mine Hill, Wharton or is a choice student at Canfield Avenue School.

The draft will be conducted after the tryouts/evaluation.

The coach for your team is the point of contact for the season for any changes in the practice or game schedule. Head coaches and assistant coaches receive a registration discount and coaches shirt. All coaches need to be Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certified. If you are interested in coaching for the season please contact the Director of Community Programs (contact information below).

Practice begins in November, games begin in January and the season will end with an awards ceremony in March. Practice is once a week at Canfield Avenue School.

Games are played at Canfield Avenue School on Saturdays unless it is a makeup game at the end of the season. Away games can be scheduled for during the week or on Saturday. No games are on Sunday.

No child will be denied the opportunity to play basketball due to financial hardship. If you are experiencing financial hardship please contact the Director of Community Programs.

Morris Travel League

Morris County Travel league the opportunity to play on a higher competitive level. The minimum is 10 players to run the program. Games will be played in and around Morris County. Registrants should expect an evaluation date to be set, as depending on registrants there will most likely be a tryout.

For the 2024-2025 season we will announce more information when it becomes available if we are offering this program.
