Mine Hill Township will be hosting a FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the DPW Garage, 10 Baker Street or click here for a list of upcoming FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinics in Morris County. All of these clinics are available to all New Jersey residents and will meet your pet’s vaccination requirement for licensing with the Township. For everyone’s safety, all pets at clinics must be leashed or in a pet carrier.

All dogs and cats in the Township of Mine Hill are required to be licensed each year by the Municipal Clerk’s Office. The Dog license renewals are due by January 30th; Cat license renewals are due by February 28th. All animals must have a Rabies Certificate valid through November of the licensing year in order to be licensed. New pets must be licensed within 10 days of coming home to Mine Hill Township; renewals for the upcoming year must be processed by dates provided above to avoid late charges. Renewal reminders are sent out each December.

Owner’s First and Last Name Owner’s Address and Telephone Number Pet’s Name Pet’s Age and Date of Birth, Gender, Breed*, hair length and color, and whether or not the pet is spayed/neutered Proof of Rabies with valid expiration date as noted above Check (payable to Mine Hill Township) or cash in the appropriate amount** as follows:
Spayed or Neutered Dog $12.00 Non-spayed or Non-Neutered Dog $15.00 Spayed or Neutered Cat $10.00 Non-spayed or Non-Neutered Cat $13.00
*If the pet is a “mixed breed” or “mutt,” please provide the breed name closest to what the animal looks like – this information is used to identify missing animals who are not wearing their license, so an accurate description is essential to the safety of your pet.
**This fee will be waived for Service Dogs with proof of valid registration from a Service Dog program.

Please add a $10.00 per pet late fee if submitting your renewal after the end of the licensing year.***
***Renewals received via postal mail after the deadline that do not include the late fee will be returned without being processed. Failure to return the renewal with the appropriate fee may result in additional penalties.
