Mine Hill Community Committee is comprised of a group of volunteers that creates and manages town wide events in collaboration with the Township and Community Programs Department.

Easter Bunny Around Town
April 16th12:00 PM
Easter Bunny will be escorted around on our Mine Hill Fire Department Trucks.
Memorial Day Parade
Come join us for the Memorial Day Parade. The parade will begin at 10:15 AM. The parade route has changed. We will be starting the parade on Autumn Drive, down Central, right onto Shawn Street, left onto William, left onto Rt 46 and right down Baker to the Memorial. The parade will arrive at the Memorial Park where we will have our ceremony at approximately 11 AM. After the ceremony we will be having a barbecue. We are encouraging all Mine Hill Clubs/Organizations to participate. To join us please email LBetz@minehill.com.

Come bring any and all of your paperwork/documents to be confidentially shredded. There is no need to remove any staples, clips, binders or books. They cannot shred cardboard boxes.
The company shredding is National Association for Information Destruction Certified.
Residents may bring whatever they want to shred as long as they bring non-perishable, non-expired food items to be donated to the food pantry.
Town Wide Garage Sale
Date June 10-12
Registration Deadline is June 9th at 4:30 PM.
The Township is hosting a Town Wide Yard Sale Event. We recommend the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM. The list will be publicized. Permit requirements and fees are waived, but you must sign up.
To access the List of Addresses participating in the garage sale will be sent via swiftreach and posted on the township’s main page under “Township Announcements” On the page you have the option of customizing the map to see which addresses are participating in the garage sale by checking off or un-checking off the box to the left of the date. The drop down arrow also provides a list of all the houses associated with the blue pins. You can print the map by clicking on the 3 dots in a vertical row to the right of the magnify glass and click “print map”.
Movie Nights and Events at Sunset Lake
Weather permitting, movie nights include a movie, pit fires and roasting marshmallows. Feel free to bring chairs, blankets, food and drinks etc. Glass is not permitted at the beach. Cost: Free!

August 13 at 4:00 PM at Sunset Lake: Mine Hill Fire Department Wet Down! Bring your towel and bathing suit as Mine Hill Fire Department will be turning Sunset Lake into a spray park.
August 13 at 7:30 PM Mr. Sam’s Ice Cream Truck will be stopping by to sell ice cream prior to our featured film this weekend, Luca. Don’t forget to bring your chairs, blanket, snacks and drinks (no glass permitted) and find a spot as the movie will begin at 8:15 PM.
August 20 9:00 AM Children’s Fishing Derby at Sunset Lake. Bring your own fishing poles, We will supply the worms. Ages 3-12. Please register before August 17th by emailing Laurie Betz. firstname.lastname@example.org
August 27 6:30-8:30 DJ Mike will entertain the children with some music and dances. Food will be available for purchase: Purchase Hot dogs with Chips $2.00, Water $1.00, Ice Pop $0.25

October 8th Shred-it event from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Bring the documents you would like shredded confidentially to 10 Baker Street, Mine Hill, NJ to be shredded on site! Cost: Free!

Holiday Display/Tree Lighting
Festival of Lights Contest
To enter please have your holiday lights on and the Community Committee will go around town determining the winners. We will notify the winning houses with a letter indicating you’ve won, and to please come to the December 15th Town Council Meeting to receive a certificate.
Santa Comes to Town
