Mine Hill Events are put together by the Mine Hill Community Committee is comprised of a group of volunteers that creates and manages town wide events in collaboration with the Township and Community Programs Department.

MARCH
3/15/25 St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
March 16th, get your green on and join the Community Committee for a St Patrick’s fundraising Dinner on Saturday, March 15th from 6:00-9:00 PM at Cinders Wood Fire Grill, 319 Rt. 46 Mine Hill NJ. For $45.00 pp, not including tip, for a buffet of Irish fare and Desserts. Please bring money for the cash bar. Live entertainment by: An Clar School of Irish Dance, Paddy Kaye Music Entertainment and Bag Pipes. Deadline to sign up is 3/7/25 and Payment can be made in person, cash or check, by stopping into Town Hall and seeing Laurie Betz. 4/19/25 Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Hop on over to the Mine Hill Civic Center to have Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM. Reservations need to be made online, please see the link at the top, or in person with Laurie Betz. Adult: $12.00 Child under 5: $8.00. Reservation will be posted at a later date.

5/10/25 Shred It Day 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Documents Securely and Safely. Come bring any and all of your paperwork/documents to be confidentially shredded. There is no need to remove any staples, clips, binders or books. They cannot shred cardboard boxes. The company shredding is National Association for Information Destruction Certified. Residents may bring whatever they want to shred as long as they bring non-perishable, non-expired food items to be donated to the food pantry.

Come join us for the Memorial Day Ceremony and Hot Dogs to follow.
JUNE
6/6/25 to 6/8/25 Town Wide Garage Sale. Registration Deadline is June 5th at 3:00 PM.
The Township is hosting a Town Wide Yard Sale Event. We recommend the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM. The list will be publicized. Permit requirements and fees are waived, but you must sign up. To access the List of Addresses participating in the garage sale will be sent via Town-Wide Notification System and posted on the township’s main page under “Township Announcements.”

10/11/25 Halloween on the Hill 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Mine Hill Memorial Park. Join us for Halloween on the Hill at Memorial Park located behind the Mine Hill Community Center, 12 Baker Street, Mine Hill, NJ. Costumes are encouraged! Bring a pumpkin to decorate. There will be games, fire pits, cider, hay rides and inflatables as well as some items to purchase. Beverages permitted. Hot Dogs, Water, Chips and Marshmallow sticks will be available for purchase.

11/22/2025 Thanksgiving Gathering for All 3:00 PM to 7:00PM
No plans for Thanksgiving? No problem! Come join us for a welcoming Thanksgiving dinner, made for anyone who might be spending the holiday alone. Whether you’re new in town, away from family, or just looking for good company, we’d love to celebrate with you! Enjoy a delicious homemade meal, warm conversations, and a sense of community. Everyone is welcome—because no one should be alone on Thanksgiving. RSVP: November 11, 2025 link for registration will be available at a later date

Town Hall Vestibule, 10 Baker Street, Mine Hill. Santa’s Mailbox is open and available during those dates above to drop off your letter. Santa will write back to you only if you include a return address.
12/5/25 Soup Sampler 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
At Canfield Avenue School. Admission is $10.00 per adult, $5.00 children under 5 years old. Bring a coat in good condition to donate, and you get free soup. A special visitor will be visiting during the event.
12/6/25 Town Tree Lighting and Christmas Fun in the Park 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Event will be held at the Memorial Park located 11 Baker Street, Mine Hill, NJ. Join us for the tree lighting and vast display of light displays. Hot chocolate and marshmallows will be available.
12/14/25 Breakfast with Santa 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
At the Community Center. This is a pay in advance event. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon and home fries. RSVP no later than 12/11/25. Adult: $12.00 Child under 5: $8.00. Santa will arrive for pictures from 9:30 AM-11:00 AM. Link for the reservation will be available at a later date.
12/20/25 Santa Comes to Town 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Santa comes to town. Santa will make his trip around to all the good children of Mine Hill this year. For route information stay tuned to updates on the Town-Wide Notification System.
