Registration for the 2019-2020 Season are Open till October 25th

Canfield Avenue School Gym

The Evaluation date is set for Friday, 11/15 from 6pm-9pm at Canfield Avenue Elementary School.

  • 6-7pm for 3/4 grade girls and boys
  • 7-8pm for 5/6 grade girls and boys
  • 8-9pm for 7/8 grade boys (Eval for 7/8 girls is not needed)

All players looking to play this season will be assigned a team regardless of skill level.  In order to assign the players all players need to attend one of the two sessions. Details of the timing for each grade and age will be announced.

Teams Announced: 11/18/2019

Practice Begins: 11/19/2019

Games Begin: January (Exact date to be announced once games and teams are organized by the league directors)

Games End: February with makeup games going into the first week in March

Awards Ceremony: Tentatively March 9th at 7:00 PM at Canfield Avenue School

Fees: $70.00 for Registration per player

Registration and payment must be received by the Township prior to practice. Failure to complete either will delay your child from being on a team and practice time.

You must submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate for the 2019-2020 season. If you submitted a copy of your child’s birth certificate in the 2018-2019 season you do not need to provide a birth certificate.

The basketball program is for children in grades 3 through 8 who live in Mine Hill, Wharton or is a choice student at Canfield Avenue School.

The draft will be conducted after the tryouts/evaluation.

The coach for your team is the point of contact for the season for any changes in the practice or game schedule. Head coaches and assistant coaches receive a registration discount and coaches shirt. All coaches need to be Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certified. If you are interested in coaching for the season please contact the Director of Community Programs (contact information below).

Practice begins in November, games begin in January and the season will end with an awards ceremony in March. Practice is once a week at Canfield Avenue School or Bethlehem Church. We try to get more than one practice per week if it is available.

Games are played at Canfield Avenue School on Saturdays unless it is a makeup game at the end of the season. Away games can be scheduled for during the week or on Saturday. No games are on Sunday.
