Fees: $70.00 for Registration per player
Uniform Fee: $20.00 per uniform. New players must order a uniform, returning players if the uniform is in good condition and fits the player does not need to order a new uniform.
Registration and payment must be received by the Township prior to practice. Failure to complete either will delay your child from being on a team and practice time.
You must submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate for the 2018-2019 season. If you submitted a copy of your child’s birth certificate in the 2017-2018 season you do not need to provide a birth certificate.
The basketball program is for children in grades 3 through 8 who live in Mine Hill, Wharton or is a choice student at Canfield Avenue School.
The draft is conducted by volunteers who signed up to coach or assistant coach for the season. The coach is the point of contact for the season for any changes in the practice or game schedule. Head coaches and assistant coaches receive a registration discount and coaches shirt. All coaches need to be Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certified. If you are interested in coaching for the season please contact the Director of Community Programs (contact information below).
Practice begins in November, games begin in January and the season will end with an awards ceremony in March. Practice is once a week at Canfield Avenue School or Bethlehem Church. We try to get more than one practice per week if it is available.
Games are played at Canfield Avenue School on Saturdays unless it is a makeup game at the end of the season. Away games can be scheduled for during the week or on Saturday. No games are on Sunday.
No child will be denied the opportunity to play basketball due to financial hardship. If you are experiencing financial hardship please contact the Director of Community Programs.
